Here is an interesting pin holder I spotted on several poles in Vallejo, CA . It appears to be an iron strap bolted to the pole top and twisted at the top where there is a u-shaped metal pin that accepts two threaded wooden cobs. A few out-of-service insulators on these pins-- all CD 162s. Second picture [id=119181888]
