Both of these rails came from my grandfathers. The larger rail was given to be as a child by my maternal grandfather for a doorstop. He got it from the rail yard of Illinois Central. The smaller rail came from my paternal grandfather whom I never knew . He passed away in the 1950s when my dad was a teen. I was told he used it as a mini anvil. Being a resident of New Orleans I believe it to be a piece streetcar rail. Is the smaller type what is referred to as narrow gauge and is that the typical size for most streetcar rail?
