During the January 29-30 ice storm in Atlanta, GA, the effect of ice was quite breathtaking on the yard insulators! Not one insulator seems to have been damaged by the ice, but I was rather startled when I touched the top on one insulator, and it "spun". I thought it had cracked from the ice, but it was actually an ice shell. (see photo # 3 in this series)
