The old rail right of way is currently being developed into a paved hike and bike trail and will complete a gap in the 40 mile trail. Knowing this, I decided to take a photo of this freak pole before it was gone. About a week ago I notice PGE line crews working in the area. A few days ago I came back and the entire line along the route was cut down! This pole was cut off about half way and the cross arm and hardware was on the ground. The CD 102 was nowhere to be found (probably in a lineman's pocket) and I am pretty sure was the last glass telephone insulator left on this line. I am glad I got the photo. That pole would embarrass any utility, even PGEnron!
