One of my first BLUE Hemi 42s I found was partially buried. But not as buried as I thought. Most of its back side was gone. Displayed from the right angle you would think it was near mint. My first blue after so many aquas, ices, and clears. I felt bad throwing it away after it worked so hard for 80 plus years. I thought " why not stick it in the aquarium and give it a permanent tropical vacation". It's probably a more natural piece of aquascape than the plastic plants and fake background I have. When these fish pass on, I thought of making it more authentic by decorating with cypress logs and fish from the Louisiana bayous as there are lots of rail lines that run through and over our swamps. I figure there's lots of insulators like this in the wild that were tossed in the water by linemen or fell in from being shot down or fallen poles.
