I have these I inherited from my grandpa. They are the same size as the lenses in my lighted switch lamp. Were these used in remote applications where there was no means of an electrical or fuel light source?. Also, does anyone know how to restore the coating( a thin brasslike paint) on the back to make them reflect more evenly again? thanks to anyone who can help.
