Here's a rare (unlisted color) foreign insulator- a CD 116.6 made by COOVINAL in Villavicencio, Colombia for use on rural telephone lines. I've never seen this style in service. A friend found this a few years ago in a beautiful Smokey Ice Yellow Green (insulator on the left) with smoke streaks on the base rim. It looks like a smokey gingerale but there is a green tint to this that doesn't show in the photo. On the right is a CD 122.2 by the same manufacturer in a smoke color. I haven't tried to clean this up yet but it will really sparkle I'm sure! The same company made CD 1049 spools in a light smoke with smokey swirls but very few were ever found. Its in VNM+ shape and right out of my collection! First $125 (NOW FREE SHIPPING) gets the rare one on the left. The smoke CD 122.2 on the right is not rare (but not common either) and very few have been brought from Colombia (Approximately only 1 dozen!). They were used on rural farmer's telephone lines. It can be yours for $40 plus postage for the VNM++. These may have only been produced for a limited amount of time because the main distributor's showroom in Bogota was closed while I was living there. Thanks!
