On the way to the Seattle insulator show last month, I stopped at Mike "Rain" Spadafora's place in Olympia. Mike was busy completing restoration of several "Kitsulators" from parts collected off the remains of the first power line from Kern River (Borel Powerhouse) to L.A.. 1903. Shown are scarce Fred Locke M-3721 and New Lexington M-4325-A re-assembled specimens just about ready for final touch-up. All except one of each type have now been sold. There will be no more of these very soon so now is your chance to own expertly restored 100+ year old mud multiparts. At least that is what I thought and I now own the Fred Locke freak M-3725 from N. Calif. in the foreground. Mike is shown standing in the shadows of the garage next to his other passion....running and restoring 1950's-60's Volkswagens.....Right On! |
