I know that this one-only piece was shown here some time ago. But I thought I'd give you what I think is a more accurate photo of it. Originally this insulator was found in a New Hampshire antique store around 1989 or 1990 by a long-gone collector. It is a pinkish-light purple looking at it in the sunlight. I've seen some CD 102 skirt-embossed Brookfields in a very similar color so no doubt this piece was made out of a similar batch! Note: the pinkish-burgundy coloration around the threads likely is from the preservative used around the wooden pin this piece was mounted from and no attempt has been to dissolve/clean it. |
