Among the antique street lights that Joe has on display within his fenced-in museum are endless assortments of period pole line artifacts such as cutouts, lightning arrestors, multipart and unipart insulators, odd/old insulator pins, ancient pole-tops, crossarm pieces, brackets, old watthour meters...and you name it! A lineman's heaven! All of this is open to the collecting community for viewing but only by appointment! And only in the summer. Here is a sample photograph of his museum as it looks today as you "walk in" (03/04/05) totally inundated with snow! I will include summertime pix of this display if they aren't already within the ICON photo gallery. Thanks for looking! Any questions please contact Joe Maurath, Jr. at: jmaurath@mindspring.com. And...if you have the slightest affliction for vintage street lights, check out Joe's site at: http://www.vintagestreetlights.com and his vintage street lights group on Yahoo (a must!) at... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vintage_streetlights |
