whilst trying to carry on and bring some normalcy back into our lives the wife and i have been trying to be more creative in certain ways (the wife more so than i, she is the real brains of the whole operation lol) anyways she has been making soaps and candles with a vengeance and i was looking at her candles a few days ago and an idea hit me. the above pic is the first attempt at that idea. if you look you can see the H.G.Co embossing with the backwards letter underneath, and its exact size as its glass brother minus about a quarter inch from shrinkage as it cools. and making the liquid rubber mold is a real pain as well, it takes about twenty coatings to get it thick enough to hold that much wax, with it having to be slowly dried in between each coating, from first coat of rubber to candle out of the mold took four and a half days! obviously not a moneymaker and more a labour of love- already have a few different ones planned and how about an EC&M soap on a rope!! let me know if any of you are interested or have ideas, a new hobby begins....... thanks for looking porter UPDATE---thanks so much for all the mails regarding these, to answer the price question I'm thinking with shipping included they are going to be about fifteen dollars, they take a heck of a lot of time to make. and two different styles are forthcoming best regards--Jason
