Above should be an image of the Hartford Faience U-something I picked up yesterday. Jack Tod's book and the website picture pages lead me to speculate that it's a U-293 (Butterscotch with H / A105 incused on top, not the skirt) but the profile is much more like a U-292 (rounded dome, fat upper lip). How fine is the distinction between these two U#s? Are there butterscotch U-292s? Are dome markings more common than skirt markings on Hartfords?
