This picture shows an older German transformer house with a 10 KV --> 230/400 Volts Transformer near Lengerich, Germany. The line in the front of the house is the 230/400 Volts line, in the back of the building you see the 10 KV line. Above the window was a 230/400 Volts line installed, too. This line is removed and replaced by underground cables. In Germany many low voltage lines are replaced by underground cables yet. In some areas it is hard to find a low voltage overhead power line today. Most new low voltage lines are build as underground lines in Germany today. |
