UNIQUE pre 1917 marked RUSSIAN GLASS INSULATOR

This is unique insulator of the imperial period of Russia!!! It has a brand. There is an imperial coat of arms as a two-headed eagle and an inscription: MALTSOV. DIAMETER IS 2 1/4", TALL IS 2 3/4".

The brand with the image of a two-headed eagle (the Arms of Russian empire up to 1917) is very unique. Only suppliers of the Imperial Court yard could put such brands on the products.

This insulator has been made at glass factory Maltsov in old Russian town Goose-crystal. The first mention about dynasty Maltsov was in 1634. The first mention of glass factory Maltsov was in 1778.
