In response to the current discussion of under-valued and scarce insulators - here is a CD 145 Brookfield. Plain right? --- How about those nice drip points! This is the [040] variant. In the 1999 price guide (the last one I looked it up in) it was $5-$10. Now as for scarce - I only know of 2 examples. They both sold for between $60-$80 each. Brookfield experts - please dig through your collections and let me know if you have one of these. There would seem to have to be more - but a query on ICON almost 2 years ago did not turn any more up. Maybe this time around.... Please email me if you have one of these and what number is on the dome. This example has a dome 8. Another Rodney Dangerfield of the insulator community! UPDATE 10/24/04, 9:20PM CST: Now 13 confirmed known. (my post of a total of 16 earlier today was a mistake -- I do not seem to be able to add and type at the same time) Still not jumping out of the woodwork...but it would seem our Canadian neighbors have pulled 9 from one line. All with dome number 8 as suspected. Maybe Brookfield made just the one batch...
