Again, focus on the blue arrows. These are slots 180 degrees apart that go down about a 1/4 inch into the glass. You can imagine a steel pin with keys on both sides, sliding through the keyhole, then twisted 90 degrees, and you have the insulator locked on the pin! Remember the insulator is hanging from the top, so gravity keeps the pin nubs seated in the slots for them.
