I was recently examining my CD 133's and 134's and noticed something unusual. The CD 133 [030] and the CD 134 [080] are both the same embossing: (F-Skirt) HEMINGRAY / PATENT MAY 2 1893 (R-Skirt) STANDARD SDP. I have both CDs in this embossing. When I examined them, I noticed that the embossings were EXACTLY the same: letter spacing, irregularities, positioning, everything. There's even an identical patch on the left skirt mold line. Yet, the drip points are different (CD 133 has 33, CD 134 has 30), and the crowns/domes are so significantly different that they are considered separate CDs. Weird, huh? So it looks like this mold was originally the 133 and they later reused the bottom half of the mold for the 134s. |
