* N.I.A. Dr. Frederick L. Griffin Memorial Award for best display of threadless

This historic display of threadless insulators spanned the continent -- represented by a row of California magnetic eggs to the ironclad "wolfman" recovered in Maine. There was representation of the Civil War era in the slashtop, porcelain eggs, teapot and Confederate eggs from the Richmond, Virginia dig. Also the glass inserts and wood covered sleeves completed a terrific historic pieces. James also has amassed a great collection of early telegraph paper to augment his display.
