High Voltage Expulsion Fuse

This came from the Canon City Power Plant or Sub Station. According to Chris Hedges they were used as high voltage fuses - if the voltage got to high or there was a lighting strike the fuse would blow and one of the arms which was on a spring hinge would engage and separate; thereby disengaging the electrical circuit.
