The next few picture posts will concentrate on the CD 126.3 W. Brookfield styles which were found on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line. I probably had around 15 different CD 126.3's with embossing, mould variations, and different colors in my collection. They all came from the line which ran West from Fort Valley to Columbus, GA. Most of my variations are either boxed up or have been traded long ago. I did find the attached two CD 126.3's in my boxes which can serve to illustrate how different the moulds could be. These two insulators were selected to have the same (or nearly the same) embossing. The one on the left is embossed "1 / W. Brookfield / 45 Cliff St / N.Y. on the front dome and "Pat Jan. 25th 1870" on the back dome. The CD 126.3 on the right has the exact same embossing, but has no mould mark and the embossing is smaller. One can easily see, while these two insulators have the same embossing, they are very different in shape. It is of interest to note that no CD 127's were found on this section of line and that no CD 126.3's were found on any other section the North - South telegraph line - only CD 127's.
