This picture shows the crew setting up a "telephone gallow" (direct translation from Swedish) on a roof in the Swedish capital Stockholm around 1880. For this kind of jobs, they often hired sailors as they were used to heights. No insulators have not yet been fitted on the crossarms, but many wires are visible running behind the structure.
