This picture is to address e-mail regarding the two rim embossed Postal Telegraph Company styles. On the left is a CD 156.1 POSTAL is a wide groove CD 156.1 POSTAL TELEGRAPH CO PAT SEP 13 1881 in light mint green. Again, the 3 in SEP 13 is reversed. It will also be interesting to note that the Postal CD 156.1 is a totally different style than both the two CD 156.1 American's. I will call the CD 156.1 Postal "style 1". On the right, is a CD 156.1 American Insulator Co. narrow groove style which I will call "style 3". Do can see that there is a considerable difference - it's dramatic in this case. Also, note that the American Insulator CD 156.1 is from Georgia while I have no idea of the CD 156.1 Postal's origin. If anyone out there has hunted or found these styles on a Postal Telegraph Line, I would love to here your stories.
