A few samples were placed out in the open air. They survived for only minutes before suddenly bursting from the thermal shock of cooling too quickly. Note the beautiful olive amber mini on the right that was a product of the glass gathered near the bottom center of the molten glass batch. It was noted that the amber piece of slag had melted and sunk to the bottom when placed in the center of the molten Hemi blue glass. It was interesting to see the gradual influence of amber in the blue glass with each draw.
