This picture shows the 13.2KV primary construction that runs down the street where I live. Questions ... 1. Why strip the insulation at the insulator? I suspect it is done to ensure a better electrical connection between the wire and the insulators in an effort to avoid RF interference. 2. Why insulate a primary cable at all?
