These Great North Western Telegraph Company-embossed CD 145s come in a variety of steel blue and purple shades, and this one is somewhere between. I'd say this example is more on the steel grey/blue side, but it does have an ever so slight hint of lavender/purple in the dome. In addition to the colour, this one has a nice bit of character in the form of a pronounced amber streak that snakes around the front skirt and crown. The image at top right was taken in a backlit cabinet and shows the amber swirling a bit better.

This one is in fair shape, but does have a 5/8" flake on the rear outer base edge. Otherwise I see a small scratch on the front skirt below "TEL", and some scuffs on the crown. There's also a 1/8" BB ping on the rear crown and some scuffs in the wire groove (as always).

I'm now asking $30 USD plus shipping for this piece. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
