These two-groove exchange styles are a given in Ontario, where most collectors come across them often. Bell used a pile of them with various markings across much of Ontario, and we find them often. Still, it's taken me some time to realize that they're perhaps not so common in other areas, and folks on ICON seem to like them so here's a trio of them in case anyone is after a few for their collection. All three are white, all three are dry process, and their shape is similar. Left to right:

1.) Porcelain Products Inc. (P.P.INC.) U-47 in white. These are among the more common markings this style turns up in here in Ontario, but the vast majority seem to have very poor embossing. This one has a nice strong, easily legible marking in which even the periods are easily visible. VNM with just a scratch on the skirt on the rear side.

2.) Federal Porcelain Co (FEDCO) U-47 in white. VNM condition with just some reddish rust stains from wire scratches in both grooves.

3.) Canadian Telephone Supply (CTS) U-1192, with Hamilton Porcelain (HP) and MADE IN CANADA recessed-embossed on the base edge. These CTS examples turn up often in Ontario and there are several marking variations found in them. NM, with just some black-stained crazing lines from the low-quality dry process porcelain.

I'm now asking $25 USD plus shipping for the set of three. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
