A couple of months ago I was hospitalized with celulitis in my legs and hands and had infection that had to be treated. When I got out from rehab and back home a few weeks ago I had to keep active until I was able to return to work a couple of days ago. Needless to say I was trying to find projects I had put off and other things to keep moving. I've been wanting to make one of these just to have an example since finding one would probably be very difficult. It is called a Circut Loop Break insulator. Bassically two spools held together by two pieces of flat metal and bolts to provide a break in an electrical circut. I have only seen one catalog that had these pictured. It was from an 1893 Central Electric Co. catalog. The catalog also pictured above it the newly avaliable Bains Break Insulator which was probably favored more than the Circut Loop configuration since I haven't seen it listed in any later catalogs. I just think it would be nice to have an example to go with the other Bains, Pass & Seymour and Findlay break insulators I have.
