Here's a rare Canadian battery jar that doesn't turn up often. I recently upgraded it to one with slightly stronger embossing and a matched insert, but I've only had the chance to purchase the two examples in my 20+ years of collecting. It's a standard sized jar measuring 16 cm by 11.2 cm with a ground lip and a spout. It has relatively weak embossing on the front that reads:

THE BELL TELEPHONE Co OF CANADA

Because the embossing is relatively weak I had a bit of a hard time photographing it. You have my word that it is MUCH easier to read when viewed in person.

Overall this jar is in good condition, with just some moderate mineral etching/haze on the inside, and a single 1.2 cm long flake along the ground lip just behind the right mold line. It's visible at the upper right in the photo shown.

I'm asking $300 USD plus the actual cost of shipping for this one. Rest assured it will be very well packed - double boxed with styrofoam between the boxes. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
