Mike S and I recently found two late examples of Lapp strap-cap style strain insulators on the route of an early 11,000-volt line in New York. They are dated 1927 and in great condition. We believe there are two other examples of this particular type owned by collectors. The broken insulator is a solid-forged cap Lapp dated 1927.
