Here are a few American-made oddball porcelain styles that certainly don't turn up every day. From left to right we have:

1.) U-250 in white. This is an oddball "tall skirt" signal to begin with, and this example has a tougher white glaze. NM with just one tiny outer base edge flake on one side. Nice blue speckles and a glazed over wire ridge flake give it some extra character.

2.) U-294 signal with the marking "SP" boldly incused on the dome. The glaze is great, with heavy mottling and some nice blonde/caramel tones mixed with the darker red/brown. This piece is attributed to Thomas. Mint condition.

3.) U-228 beehive with an inner skirt. Just a weird little union of a beehive and a pony. No markings on this one but it too looks like it could have been a Thomas product based on the glaze. A few small flakes on the very sharp wire groove edges, but overall in good shape.

I'm looking to trade for scarce Canadian porcelain, or MLOD glass such as CD 143s and threadless. I'm happy to supplement the value of this piece with cash if needed to make a deal for a good piece. Here's a link to my current wanted Canadian porcelain: [id=505519866]
