Among the excellent displays was Carver Mead and Barbara Smith's story of the Kern 1 line. I loved this museum-quality display. It had all the elements I enjoy in a display...good story, rare or interesting insulators, go-withs, photos, technical details, stories of the hunt, and so many other details. It was entered non-competitive....good thing lest they go home with another armful of accolades.
