Typically these had filament lightbulbs. However for operating economy I took a small low-voltage, warm white LED capsule and built it into a cut-open large, clear lightbulb to complete the fixture's overall original appearance. The little bulb inside is about 4 watts and gives the light of a 60 watt incandescent one, so it is pretty bright!
