Up for grabs is a nifty steel blue GNW TEL CO CD 145 in the [005] EIN with "T.P." blotted out behind "N.W.". I've handled quite a few GNW TEL CO CD 145s in a variety of colours over the years, and I find these [005] EIN examples are much more difficult to locate than the typical [010] EIN examples in steel blue. I also find the particular shade of steel blue that these occur in is a much darker, more vibrant shade, similar to that the Canadian No. 2 cable CD 252s are known to occur in. This shade is a vivid blue in some light (especially natural), with a noticeable grey influence throughout. The surface on this one is creased across much of the skirt and dome with straw marks, giving it a splash of extra character. This variant remains scarce from my experience. Interestingly, this example was recovered somewhat recently from the Winnipeg, Manitoba area - an area I don't usually think of as having using many GNW TEL CO CD 145s, but that's where she was found!

This example has some minor damage but remains a shiny, clean example of a scarce colour/EIN/style variant. The inner skirt has two shallow, slightly discoloured/soot-filled fractures that are about 1/4" deep, perhaps ever so slightly more. These may be annealing-related and from manufacture. The base has two less-than 3/8" flat flakes - one on the rear skirt, and one on the front just below the "G". There is also one open bubble along a 1/8" portion of an odd circular bubble on the front upper right wire ridge. Lastly, there is some scuffing in the wire groove from a probable iron wire originally installed on this piece.

I'm asking $16.00 USD plus shipping for this unusual colour variant. If it were the equally scarce No. 2 cable 252 style in this colour it would be worth a heck of a lot more!
