A week or so ago ICON had a discussion regarding Corduroy Roads. Here is an image of Sycamore Row on Old Michigan Road located south of Logansport, In. It was formed when trees were felled in a wetlands to build a corduroy road. The green sycamores sprouted on each side creating a boulevard of mature trees. The road has been slightly re-routed to make a wider road. The tree lined area is now a park.
