This is one of only two known marked insulators of this type in existence . It was used on the Winona interurban in northern Indiana. These were used south of Goshen, In on a section of the line constructed in the spring of 1907. They were changed out in the late 1920's with more Modern OB multiparts . Two marked unites and two or three unmarked units are all that are known to have survived from the line . This crown marking " OHIO BRASS CO/ MANSFIELD OHIO" was used only briefly by New Lexington in the spring of 1907 for Ohio Brass jobber orders on pieces sold by OB but produced by New Lexington. A total of only five or six insulators exist with this marking . The others being the larger M-2635 units . If you collect early lilyshells, New Lexington products or insulators related to early Midwestern interurban lines this is a once in a lifetime piece . This insulator is mint other then a small scuff / flake on the rim of the base . It has no cracks or fractures in the skirts or crown . The marking on one side of the crown is rather blurry .
