I just happened to be working near the railroad right-of-way that I used to explore when I was a teen. All the poles were removed about 10 years ago, but I was curious to see if anything remained. At first it looked bleak, with only pole stubs, tie wires, and the occasional shard. After 5 span lengths of nothing I turned and headed back, when I came across the Delta Star. Then I came across the B beehive, with all but the dome buried. These of course are no great finds, but it was fun finding them because I remember the excitement of finding these same types of insulators, along this same stretch of track, 14 years ago!
