Here is picture of a pole with lots of gains cut in it. Old poles came with gains but later ones just had a long flat gain called a slab gain, I don't know the date that the change was made. This old guy doesn't show any signs of arms ever having been attached - no signs that a hardhead was driven through x-arm braces and into the pole. I suspect this old pole is older than any of us on ICON.
