Here's a clear Hemingray insulator with a coating that gives the insulator a multi-colored snake skin appearance. A pattern on a sheet of material is placed on top of a tank of water. The sheet is sprayed with a chemical that dissolves the sheet but leaves the pattern. The insulator is dipped into the tank and the pattern adheres to it. This process is also used to apply patterns to many other objects, such as camouflage to guns. |
