Not having a strong interest in the outcome of the Super Bowl and even less interest in the pre-game festivities and analysis (in your face Roger Goodell!), I decide to go to my local antique faire and was handsomely rewarded. Left to right is a small Fred Locke-marked cabletop, I believe U-611A; a small straw color battery jar with the embossed Gamewell logo (for a fire alarm box); and to the right U-701, the first porcelain power insulator. Manufactured by General Electric and made of dry process porcelain around 1895(SOLD). This is probably not from the Baltic-Taftville line in Connecticut built by the Ponemah Mills & Norwich Street Railway. More likely this came from the early Folsom to Sacramento line in California, a hydroelectric power line built by Sacramento Electric Light & Power Company.
