At O-Dark-Thirty, on the day of the show, a buddy and I hit the road to Moriarty. After two hours of driving, we decided to make a pit stop, at a small gas station, near Adrian, Texas (just a few miles from the New Mexico line). Dawn was just breaking. Good thing that the sun would be coming up behind us. Still, I wouldn't be using my rearview mirror for a while.
