After recent discussion on the historic Colgate-to-SF power line, I decided to re-visit the route of the lines(s) north of Sacramento, while coming back from a trip up north. The parallel set of 60 Kv poles, that zig-zag for many miles along farm roads, is an in-service "museum" of early classic Locke, Thomas and Lima multiparts, well known by local collectors. Well, I should say was a museum, as I found most all the poles recently replaced, very little early porcelain remains. Here is one survivor on the king pin, looks like a blonde color ringed Thomas.
