Top: A sad end for this leg of the Hartford, Providence & Fishkill at Newington Junction. It's been converted to a bus route. I thought I might take "advantage" of the Multi-use Trail as this side of the tracks carried the earlier telegraph lines, but once on the path you can't get off. Yep...nothing says 'trail' like asphalt and chain link 😝
