Photo taken 9/25/2015 at the old Lehigh Valley RR station in Truxton, NY. The brackets holding the cross arm for telegraph wires are interesting, but what are the two insulators (?) at upper left corner of the photo? They appear to be insulating "tubes" to get something (heavy wire for high current power?) through the wooden station wall, but I have never seen anything like them. This is a little dinky depot out in the country and housed no high current machinery (like motors.) I worked on railroads for more than 46 years, but have never seen anything like this. -- Posted by Abram Burnett
