This community is at the furthest tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and by car is ~115 miles from Boston (!). At the time this photo was taken the Cape and Vineyard Electric Company provided service to this town as well as to all other Cape communities. This utility used small Pyrex electric distribution insulators (notably CD 234 and 235 in clear) in limited numbers; a few still can still be seen today upon older poles.
