I wish I had thought of this years ago. I built this for only $3.00 and that was only for the reptile cage canopy lamp at Goodwill. The bulb and white diffuser panel I had extra in my garage.

Only took about 15 minutes to build as I had to cut the diffuser and notch the sides to fit around the 4 studs along the edges of the box. The light I used is a typical CFL bulb but doesn't light evenly. So I am going to get a longer tube type bulb that will light to the end. If you build one? Be careful of the bulb you use. The CFL or other cool burning bulb is mandatory as you don't want to melt, warp or catch the diffuser on fire.

The end result is a small 2 insulator base/back lighting box that weighs less than 2 pounds, comes apart in seconds and can easily be carried around at the show to use for back lighting insulators at another person's table.
