Size two (a.k.a. 'small telegraph') insulators with ears. From left to right: Kornilov Bros, Matthew Kuznetsov (older and newer editions), unknown manufacturer. 'Bat eared' design was introduced by Russian Post & Telegraph Department in 19th century. The 'ears' served to simplify linemen's work and to increase lines' reliability.
