Improbable find at the antique faire as two other insulator collectors had already picked over the two boxes of insulators. To be fair, many of the insulators had a fine layer of dirt covering the domes which masked any potential hidden goodies. I spotted an unusual amber streak in the skirt of this aqua McLaughlin No. 9 (r-skirt: USA) CD 106 pony. I followed the streak up to the dome and when I rubbed off the dirt, I found it was attached to a one-inch long nail in the dome glass. Sweet !!
