Meet Emily Wessel, Editor of the Merritt Herald. Sunday afternoon, after most of the folks had departed the Merritt Insulator Show, I'm told there is a person out in the Insulator Field, taking pictures. I wandered out to see who it might be, and here was Emily taking pictures of the insulator displays. Let me tell you a bit about Emily. First of all, she is very good at her job, and you can top that off with the fact, she is a really nice person. Anyway, here she is taking pictures while she asks me if it was a good show, how many people, and several other general background questions about the show, all the time taking more pictures.

Then she asks for a picture of me holding an insulator. She took a couple, at which point I suggested she hold the insulator and I'll take the pictures. Emily is a good sport, and the picture above is proof of that. I further suggested she use this picture in the Merritt Herald, and not the one of me, but the jury is still out as to whether this will happen or not.

More about Emily; she has been very supportive with promo bits about the show. She was there to record the Grade 3 kids visiting the Insulator Field, and most recently, wrote a very nice article about the up coming Merritt Show, with a picture showing me out in the field with the kids. There is a personal aspect to her stories, that you don't often see, and I believe that resulted in several Merrittonians coming out to the show, to learn about insulators. Thank you Emily.
