This fixture was removed in 1982 from a span-wire installation dating back to around 1930 from an adjacent historic stretch of beautiful homes along Main Street in Hingham, MA. I put it back into active service years ago illuminating my driveway thanks to retirieving it from the Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant junk metal dumpster when they were converting the town to modern high pressure sodium lights.

The late Tom Halpin, a native of Hingham, MA was the General Foreman at the time (in 1982) and I will always thank him for his interest and assistance in my insulator and vintage street lighting ventures.
