Glass Insulators Through an Old Home's Windows

I live in a c.1780 house here in Massachusetts and have done a lot of restoration work to it during the past 30-or-so years. Among those efforts were replacing windows. In keeping with the original, I had custom-made 12-over-12 window sashes done with wooden 24-pane wooden storm windows on the exterior that fit nice and snugly.

On the inside are some of my glass insulators. This North-facing view is from my kitchen dining table where I am sitting now. And where I like to sit in the morning with my cat purring in my lap and a cup of coffee ;-)
